Urenwa Kalu Chima, wife of Afikpo-South Ebubeagu Commander, Oyeku Kalu Chima has been murdered in cold blood by suspected hoodlums in Owutu Edda community in Ebonyi State.

NigeriaCrime.com learned that Urenwa Kalu Chima was shot dead by the hoodlums who also burnt the house of the Ebubeagu Commander.

Ebonyi State Police Command, which confirmed the incident added that “it has not been established who perpetrated the dastardly act; however, the said Ebubeagu Commander alleged that it was one Okporie Ashango and his cohorts that did it.”

The murder of the Ebubeagu Commander’s house at Owutu Edda community and the killing of his wife was a fallout of the killing of three persons last December at Ekoli-Edda community of Afikpo South LGA of Ebonyi.

In a related development, a policeman in Osogbo, Osun state capital, on Friday got more than he bargained for when an irate mob descended on a policeman for harassing young men suspected to be internet fraudsters.

Nigeriacrime.com gathered the young men who were accosted by a police patrol team around LAMECO area on the West bypass road but did not wait for the team and headed straight for Deeper Life area of the same road.

An eye witness said that the youngmen parked in front of their elder brother’s stall, where they sell ram around BOVAS filling station.

According to the source, as the police caught up with them, they started beating the boys and threatened to shoot them if they refuse to surrender their phones.
“One of the policemen brought a screwdriver with a view to remove the vehicle’s registration number, one of the youngmen’s relatives sighted him and alerted neighbours in the area.

“Attempt to let the police team release their victims failed and exchange of words lead to a fight between one of the policemen and a relative of the young men, who accused the cop of attempts to kill his younger brothers”.
