There was panic in the Nkpokolo Achi area of Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu State on Friday as gunmen suspected to be hired assassins killed a former Commissioner for Rural Development in the state, Gab Onuzulike.
Gab was killed alongside his elder brother, Elvis Onuzulike, on their way back from a burial ceremony within the LGA.
A gruesome video of Gab, who was also a former Chairman of the LGA, went viral on Friday evening.

A source, however, said a team of security men gave the gunmen a hot chase, killed one of them, and arrested another member of the gang.
The incident threw the LGA into panic and mourning mood.
Police in Enugu State have yet to make an official statement on the incident.
Efforts to reach the state Command’s spokesman, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, were unsuccessful as he did not answer his calls as the phone rang out.
