About nine staff of Phoenix Steel Mills in Ogijo axis of Sagamu local government area of Ogun State, on Sunday, has been seriously injured in a gas explosion that occurred at the company.
Nigeriacrime.com learned that the state government ordered an immediate seal off of the company as a result of the development.
The State Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Ola Oresanya, who paid an on the spot assessment to the scene of the incident, said under the rule of engagement with all the industries in the state, the state government will carry out a thorough investigation on the remote and immediate causes of the explosion with a view of preventing future occurrence.
