Investigation into the suspected murder of a construction engineer, Mr. Humphrey Nnaji, has commenced, the FCT Police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, stated.
The decomposing corpse of the deceased, Mr. Humpjtey Nnaji, was discovered in his apartment at Dawaki area of Abuja on Saturday
The police was invited to the estate on Saturday by residents when they perceived a strong odour emanating from the apartment Nnaji lives.
The Police found his decomposing body and a hammer near his head after forcing the door open.
Some cords were found around his neck and hands, suggesting he was tied to a chair before he was killed.
A source said a note found on the scene said the killer struck to avenge his sister’s murder, alleging that the deceased was using ladies for ‘Yahoo plus’.

The corpse of the engineer has been evacuated by the Police from FCT Command while the apartment has been cordoned off.
In another development, the Kaduna Police Command said it has arrested 207 suspects in connection with phone snatching and other crimes during the week.
In a statement, the Public Relations Officer of the command, DSP Muhammad Jalige, said the arrest was in line with the operational strategies of the Inspector General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, adding that the command has ordered constant raids on identified black spots following the public outcry about the activities of criminals within the Kaduna metropolis and its environs.
Jalige said the activities of the suspect have caused panic in different areas in the state.
According to him, the arrests were made in different locations across the state, adding that investigations are currently ongoing.
Some suspects have been charged in court, while others are currently undergoing in-depth inquiries, after which they will also be arraigned in courts of competent jurisdiction, Jalige confirmed.
