Terrorists Abduct 37 Persons, Kill Two In Kaduna

No fewer than 37 persons have been abducted from three communities in Kaduna State, NIGERIACRIME learnt.

It was gathered that Azara, Jangala and Kadara, in Kagarko and Kachia Local Government Areas of the state were attacked and the victim, which are mostly women, were kidnapped.

Three nursing mothers were also caught in the web.

The gunmen also killed a retired soldier and one of his sons during the operation at neighbouring Katambi village, two kilometers away from Kateri town, along the Abuja – Kaduna highway, a source said.

The abduction was confirmed by the Sarkin Azara in Kachia LGA, Mustapha Ibrahim, who said the attackers stormed the community around 12am on Thursday and went away with 10 people.

He explained that four women, including three nursing mothers and six male adults were among the victims.

Furthermore, the community leader said two herders were also kidnapped in Fulani settlement, popularly called Rugan Alhaji Karbo.

According to him, “This morning (Friday), again, I received a call that bandits invaded Kurutu village and killed a retired soldier and one of his sons and carted away some foodstuff.”

Speaking further, he said that the gunmen attacked on Sunday around 10 pm to abduct 12 people from Kadara village in Kagarko LGA.

Also, he said that 13 people, 12 women and a male adult, were abducted by bandits at Janjala village in Kagarko LGA last Thursday.

The Madaki of the village, Aliyu Ibrahim, the Madaki of the village, confirmed the abduction on Thursday.

He explained that the bandits came through a bush path that borders Kachia LGA and raided the community and went away with their victims at a gunpoint.

For the past three to four days, he stated that his people have been under siege as a result of attacks by bandits.

There has not been immediate report from the police in the State on the incident.
