I am so devastated,” police officer whose mother-in law, daughter was kidnapped cries out

A Police officer, Inspector Olorioke whose mother-in law, Oluwakemi Isaiah, and 19-year old daughter Benedicta were kidnapped by suspected Fulani herdsmen on Sunday has said he is so devastated by the ugly incident.

According to Inspector Olorioke serving at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Lagos, the kidnappers established contact with me yesterday (Monday), using my daughter’s phone. They initially demanded N13 million as ransom but later came down to N3 million after intense negotiation.”

Lamenting, Olorioke said “where can I get such an amount of money from? I’m just a poor police officer. I am still pleading with them (kidnappers) to come down. I can only boast of N500,000 which I have been able to raise since the incident occurred.”

On what he intends to do, he said: “I am confused and heartbroken. I need help. I want my daughter to come out from the kidnappers’ den alive. My daughter is supposed to be in school if not for the ongoing ASUU strike. I need help. I need all the help and assistance I can get. Nigerians and everyone around the world should please come to my daughter’s help so the young lady’s life is saved.”

Olorioke noted that the Divisional Police Officer at the area of the kidnap has told him that he and his men were working on the safe release of his daughter from the kidnappers.

“I pray this will soon come to pass. I am totally devastated,” he added.

Samuel Akpan learned that 19 year-old daughter Benedicta recently secured admission in Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma, Edo State and her grandma Oluwakemi Isaiah we’re kidnapped on Sunday, at Ibillo village in Edo State.

Benedicta was in Lagos to visit her father and was traveling back to Edo, her home state, along with her grandmother in an interstates commercial bus belonging to Akoko Edo Transport Service when Fulani herdsmen attacked the vehicle at Ibillo village in Edo State.

However Nigeriacrime.com gathered that Inspector Olorioke mother in-law Oluwakemi Isaiah managed to escape, leaving only his daughter and other passengers with the kidnappers.
