Justice Ibrahim Sarki Yola of the Kano Senior Magistrate has condemned Sheik AbdulJabar Nasiru Kabara to death by hanging for blasphemy against the Prophet of Islam.
He also ordered that the government to seize and take over the cleric’s mosques, forfeiture of 182 books the cleric uses for propagation and be taken to the library for public use.
The Judge also warned media houses to desist from broadcasting his teachings and ideologies.
Recall that Sheikh Abduljabbar was charged to court for alleged blasphemy against the Holy Prophet and incitement in the state.

The defendant, in adopting his final written addresses dated and filed September 20, urged the court to dismiss the case filed by the Kano State Government against him and order the state to apologise to him.
He sat quietly throughout the judgment in the courtroom packed with lawyers and journalists with scores of armed police and other paramilitary personnel on guard outside.
The Magistrate, however, found Sheik AbdulJabar guilty of all charges filed against him by the state government, where he was accused of making unremarkable statements against the prophet Muhammad.
The prosecution counsel, Mamman Lawan-Yusufari (SAN) closed the case after four witnesses testified while the defendant presented one witness and tendered 24 books and memory card evidence to prove his case.
The defendant presented himself as a lone witness.
