An Akure Magistrates’ Court has remanded one Abidemi Oguntuyi for stabbing his neighbour to death.
The 23-year-old reportedly Stabbing Neighbour To Death, the victim, Friday Abiye, who was 40-year-old on the neck and in several other parts of her body.
The deceased was reportedly trying to settle a rift between the suspect and his brother.
Oguntuyi was immediately apprehended by the Ondo State Police Command.
The incident occurred at Ibaka quarters, Akungba-Akoko area of the state.

One of the sisters of the deceased, who preferred not to be named, said her late sister and the suspect engaged in a quarrel while settling a dispute between the suspect and his brother.
“The argument degenerated into a scuffle and in the process, the suspect took a knife and stabbed Abiye severally in the chest.
“Neighbours rushed her to a nearby hospital in the area, where she was certified dead,” she said
She said a brother to the deceased John Friday, who tried to stop the suspect, was also stabbed.
The suspect was arraigned on two courts of murder and attempted murder.
Presiding Magistrate, D. S ASekoni, adjourned the case to October 7, 2022, for ruling on the remand application on the suspect.
