Cultism: IGP orders investigation into Portable’s claims

The Nigerian Police Force has ordered investigations into the alleged claims by razz musician Habeeb Okikiola aka Portable that he founded the One-Million Boys cult gang terrorising some parts of Lagos state.

The Spokesperson Force Command Headquarters, Abuja, CSP. Muyiwa Adejobi made this known on Monday 16th July following a video that went viral where Portable was seen bragging that he singlehandedly established the One-Million Boys cult gang.

In the viral video, which has now been deleted, Portable claimed responsibility for the formation of the notorious cult gang.

According to the Police High Command through its Spokesperson, CSP. Muyiwa Adejobi said the singer who is reputed for courting trouble water will be investigated.

Adejobi said that the Lagos Police boss has been ordered to investigate Portable.

“This directive is premised on the continuous effort of the Nigeria Police Force to fish out pillars and sponsors of cult groups to decimate their activities and restore sanity to our society,” the Force Public Relations Officer added.

Continuing, “Sequel to the trending video of one Habeeb Okikiola aka Portable where he claimed to have formed the One-Million Boys cult group terrorising some parts of Lagos State, the IGP has ordered CP Lagos to investigate the indicting statement and take necessary legal action,” the PPRO said.

Recall that the one-Million Boys cult gang alongside Awawa Boys made life unbearable for people living around Agege and its environment. They grew in numbers as it was easy to join with a mandate that they can’t be defeated with large numbers. They could Cause enough disruption so no one is identified as well as strike fear into their victims so they remember the name.

It took the Lagos state police command years to subdue the hydra-headed boys.

However, Portable in a swift reaction released another video where he distanced himself from cultism and other criminal activities.
