A criminal syndicate terrorising Usieffurun Community in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State have been nabbed by a Police Patrol team from Otu-Jeremi Division.
Confirming this in a statement signed and made available to newsmen in Asaba, the state capital, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, identified the suspects as Bright Akpomuje, aged 24yrs and 24-year- old Michael Ogheneruese.
The two suspects were said to have been busted in an operation led by CSP Pius Eredie.
The police spokesperson noted that the activities of members of the syndicate have caused panic in different parts of the state, where they operated before their arrest.
Edafe also added that the police recovered one locally made cut-to-size pistol and seven rounds of live cartridges from the criminal suspects.
He said, “The suspects are in custody while an investigation is ongoing.”
Similarly, police operatives attached to Otor-Owhe Division in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State have arrested a thirty-year-old suspected cultist, Precious Moses.

NIGERIACRIME gathered that the male suspect is an indigene of Owhelogbo Community in the state.
The police also recovered from the suspect, a locally made cut-to-size single-barrel gun, and three (3) live cartridges.
The suspect was arrested in a hideout when members of a secret cult were holding a meeting.
The state PPRO, DSP Edafe confirmed the report in a statement he signed and made available to newsmen.
The Police image maker said the police stormed the hideout and cordoned off the area.
DSP Edafe said, “The suspected cultists on noticing the presence of the policemen, took to their heels but were given a heated chase.”
He noted that it was during the chase that the suspect was arrested with the above items recovered from him.
According to DSP Edafe, “Investigation revealed that the suspect is a member of Viking Confraternity and part of the syndicate terrorizing the said community. Manhunt for the other fleeing members of the gang is ongoing.”
