There was tension in Maiyanga community in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State as yet-to-be- identified gunmen killed three persons.
It was gathered that the incident happened on Sunday night, leaving two other victims critically injured.
According to a resident of the affected community, who identified himself as Bulus Sule, the two victims that sustained injuries were immediately evacuated to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
Sule, on Monday, confirmed that the attack on the community was reported to the police but arrived some hours after the gunmen had left.

Sule said, “It was last night (Sunday) that the gunmen came and attacked the people in Maiyanga community. They shot three persons dead while two persons sustained gunshot injuries. The shooting was just too much. Right now, the community is in pain.”
Another resident of the community, who identified himself as Ilya, condemned the killing of the villagers.
According to the source, the attack had been reported to the security agents who, he said, arrived in the community some hours after the gunmen had fled the scene.
He appealed to the government to deploy security personnel in the area to avert further occurrences.
The spokesman for the Plateau State Police Command, Alabo Alfred, did not take his calls when contacted on the attack at the time of filling this report.
