The Kano State Sharia Court has remanded a man for allegedly sleeping with his neighbour’s wife.
NIGERIACRIME gathered the defendant is from Dorayi Quarters in Gwale local government area of the state.
The man was accused of convincing the neighbour’s wife to dump her husband and taking her on outings whenever her husband was not around.
The husband, after noticing the relationship between his wife and neighbour, divorced the woman, the police prosecutor said.
The suspect was said to have given a room in his apartment to the divorced woman, which further confirmed the suspicion of her estranged husband.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge brought against him.
Sani Tanimu Sani Hausawa, the Khadi, after ordering his remand, stated that the defendant could be admitted on bail if he brought someone to stand for him and adjourned the case to July 27, 2023.

Meanwhile, suspected gunmen have reportedly killed a 37-year-old businessman, Chinonso Ugwu of Balele village in Ningi Local Government Area.
Ugwu’s death is one in the long list of those who in recent times have lost their lives to bandits, who have continued to wreak havoc in the LGA.
The recent incident was said to have occurred at about 1:30 am on Tuesday when the gunmen visited the late businessman in his house.
It was gathered that the gunmen had tried to force their way into the late Ugwu’s residence but he refused to open the door for them. Irked by his resistance the gunmen had reportedly shot him several times in the head and stomach.
“He stood by the door from the inside to prevent them from gaining entrance, it was then they shot at the door severally, in the process, some bullet hit him.” A village source stated.
It was also learned that the deceased was rushed to the Burra General Hospital in the company of Police personnel where he was confirmed dead upon arrival.
