Weapons Recovered As Police Arrest Suspect Over Apostle Suleman Attack

A 32-year-old man identified as Yusuf Isah, has been arrested by the police in connection with the attack on the senior pastor and General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide, Apostle Johnson Suleman.

The preacher’s convoy was attacked along the Benin-Auchi Road in Edo State in October 2022.

Six people lost their lives during the attack, including three policemen.

Reacting to the attack, Suleman described the incident as an “assassination attempt”, and expressed sadness over those that were killed, but said the gunmen will “reap the seed they sow”.

He also alluded to “certain things” happening since 2017, which appeared to be a reference to the various sex scandals involving him.

“Since 2017, there are certain things that have been happening that I have been quiet about. Even if you’re the most careless person on earth, you will not give yourself to so much scandals. There are things people don’t know, even though one or two people, along the line, took advantage of that to just come out and say one or two things,” he said.
