Notorious Terrorist Leader, Ali Dogo, Killed By NAF

Fighters of the Nigerian Air Force have killed a notorious terrorist leader, Ali Dogo in Kaduna State.

Dogo, who was also called Yellow was killed alongside his gang members in an air raid conducted by Operation Whirl Punch.

The attack was confirmed by a military source who spoke anonymously.

He said the terrorist leader had led his gang to to Niger State to the residence of one Alhaji Gwarzo in Yadi, Giwa Local Government Area.

The military received the information and dispatched a Nigerian Air Force (NAF) which shelled the building.

The troop also targeted a location 33 nautical miles Northwest of Mando in Kaduna.

The source said, “Unfortunately for them, while they were having a meeting, NAF aircraft struck Alhaji Gwarzo’s house, leaving everybody in the building neutralised including Yellow.”

NAF Spokesperson, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, said the Nigerian Air Force would keep up bombardment of non-state actors in the Northwest.

He said, “The Air Component in keeping with the directive of the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Oladayo Amao, would continue to sustain offensive operations against these criminal elements in collaboration with the Land Component and other security agencies to rid the Joint Operations Area and indeed the entire Northwest of terrorism and other acts of criminality.”

Launched in October 2018, Op Whirl Punch is a unit of Op Sharan Daji securing Kaduna-Abuja highway, around Birnin Gwari and Niger State.
