According to him, the Sabuwa Police Divisional Headquarters received information that suspected bandits, numbering several and armed with dangerous weapons such as AK-47 rifles, were riding on motorcycles towards Sabuwa town with the intent to attack.

Upon receipt of the report, DPO Sabuwa, CSP Aliyu Mustapha, mobilized a joint team consisting of men of Operation Sharan Daji and members of the Katsina State Community Watch Corps. They responded to the scene and engaged the suspected bandits in a fierce gun duel.
